Digital Drawing: Sunset Beach

Image
Sunset Beach I decided to try doing semi-realistic digital drawing. Of course... I couldn't even draw realistically in the first place. 😭 Anyways, after several random YouTube videos later, I decided to try. I don't have the right tools, though, can only use a simple drawing platform which is REALLY not ideal for semi-realistic drawing.      I tried shading, which, for some reason, I can never get right...      Anyways, after a few hours of erasing and redrawing, and random audiobooks playing in the background... I finished my first attempt of a (supposedly) semi-realistic drawing. It was fun to make, and I'll make more (hopefully better) ones in the future.  My first attempt of a semi-realistic drawing. Used a reference, of course.       I know some things may be a bit off. But it's my first time so... guess it's a nice try? Also I don't take art lessons, so I probably already broke a bajillion rules.  If you saw that I did something HORRIBLY wrong and you ha

Painting: Blossoms

Blossoms     Another painting that I tried. It... didn't turn out as good as I've hoped. Anyways, it looks quite simple though it took me a while to do it. The video is still sadly as blurry as before... I'll figure out how to upload it without making it blurry :'( Anyways, enjoy:  Music: "You & Me" by Peder Helland     I started off painting the background. Then I sketched the outline and painted that too. I tried adding shadows but I'm still learning to shade properly...      Then I decided to turn the background into waters and land. The waters turned out ok and I didn't want to risk adding ripples. I do regret adding the clouds though. Overall though, I think it turned out good :)

Painting: Kiki's Delivery

Kiki's Delivery     I'm sure you've heard of Studio Ghibli's "Kiki's Delivery Service." It's a nice movie and, as usual, Studio Ghibli's art and animation is amazing.        Anyways, I used acrylic on canvas and painted this. I did use a picture for reference though. The video's a bit blurry, hope you can still see it:

AI Generated Art: NightCafe

Image
NightCafe Creations     I know this is kind of cheating and doesn't count cuz it's powered by AI, but it still takes skill to write the prompt...?     Anyways, NightCafe is a website where you can create AI generated art! You type in something in the prompt and the AI makes it for you. Best of all, it's copyright free, so you can use it in projects and stuff like that. It sometimes gives dissatisfying or wonky results, but overall it's great once you get the hang of it. Here are some of my creations! :D I'm pretty proud of this creation, except it has that  annoying watermark, I don't know why...  It can generate faces! This almost looks like a real person doesn't it?  This was my first creation ever :)     Which one of these was your favorite? Comment below! And if you'd like to try, check out  my tutorial  for tips on how to use it! Thanks for stopping by! :D

Painting: Twilight Ocean

Twilight Ocean     I used someone's painting as reference and made this. I didn't like this as much as my other ones though, but I guess I might as well share it. I included a video of the process. Go ahead and try it yourself and tell me about it in the comments! ;) Video edited on Wondershare Filmora. Music is  忘れじの言の葉 by DAZBEE

Painting: Before Sunrise

Image
Before Sunrise         This is a painting I painted a few months ago. I used a photo as reference. This is my best painting SO FAR. I'm quite proud of it! I might make more if I have time. This is the first time I experimented with blending many colors in one area. It turned out well, and I'll do more of it!  Here is a video on part of the process. You should try one yourself! :D

Short Story: Lorrie's Doll

Lorrie's Doll A short story I wrote over Winter break, 2022. Hope you enjoy :') “Lorrie!” Mrs. Aksamit called, “come for lunch.” Mrs. Aksamit handed me a bowl of cold porridge. I managed to swallow the gooey, cold, tasteless porridge. At least I had food. Sometimes, we don’t have food at all.  Mrs. Aksamit opened her home for children who lost their parents, or were separated from them, like me. The war was hard on us children. I was only 5 years old. “How many more days until Christmas?” I asked Mrs. Aksamit. “Seven,” Mrs. Aksamit replied. I squealed in excitement. Mom promised to come back to me on Christmas day. I thought about when Mom will be back. She’d bring me my favorite treats and food. I’ll ask her to cook my favorite dish. I trudged back to my bed, which was mainly just a pile of dusty worn blankets on the floor in the living room, along with many other children. I lay there, thinking about when Mom comes back. She will bring me gifts. Then, an idea hit me. “I sho

(Very) Short Story: Two Wild Horses

Image
Two Wild Horses  This may not be the best compared to my other works. This is just something spontaneous and I didn't spend too much time on grammar and/or wording. Just enjoy the story :) Sunny and Leila are wild horses. They were young. They were strong. They roam free. Wild, young, and free.  Image generated on NightCafe  AI generated.  You’d see them running wild across the crisp green meadow of Assateague Island , the golden sunshine reflecting on their glossy skins. The sky is a stunning blue, like a sapphire. The wind flowing so swiftly through their mane and tails. They have not a care in the world. They were a pair of wild horses. Partners in crime. Running wild. No one can get in their way. They were wild and free. You’d see these two shabby boney young horses getting in every little mischief. Wild they were, and free. Not a care in the world. Not a care.  One day, Leila started to change. She started to grow and mature into a beautiful horse. In place of the bone

Short Story: The Lily

Image
The Lily I wrote this short story in 8th grade. It is part of a class project where we combined our short stories into an anthology and publish it. You can find it on Amazon.  My life used to be happy. Not perfect, but happy. My father left us when I was six years old. Our mother raised on her own ever since. I remembered during the spring times, my little sister, Anja, and I would run on the meadows barefoot, collecting flowers, and bringing them to mother. Our mother loved lilies. They used to grow around our house. I thought about those days when life was full of joy and color. Those days when there was a future.  But those days are gone. And here I stood in the middle of nowhere in Lithuania. A nobody. Barefoot, cold, torn, hungry, exhausted, and hopeless. The sky was bleak, like the world had grown cold and mean. Well, it had, ever since the Red Army took over East Prussia. I will never forget that day in May 1945. The memory was stained in my mind and haunted me every day. That
